Insultin resistant diabetes, psoriasis, and gout. connection?

asteriskk asked:

Case presents 25 year old male of asian decent.

Diagnosed with gout as a teenager.
Developed diabetes after a cold/flu in his early twenties.
Diagnosed with psoriasis in his early twenties.

Person is about 50 pounds overweight and manages his diabetes well with insulin. Gout flair ups are rare but the psoriasis and hyperpigmentation in the elbows, knees and knuckles are chronic.

He also has food allergies to shellfish and peanuts.

I know this isn’t a lot to go on but is it possible that any/all of these conditions are connected? Possibly an adrenal disorder or am I grasping at straws?
