i get charlie horses all the time at night && i know how much they hurt. this may sound crazy, but you need to bananas because they have potassium in them && i heard that helps charlie horses or cramps in the leg.

You can try stretching your let out in bed, and/or rubbing it, but the cramp will go away quicker if you get up and walk it off. Walking around and moving the muscle, and/or massaging the muscle, is the quickest way to get relief.

Muscle cramps can be an indicator of a lack of potassium in your body. Decrease your salt intake and drink more water. Eat bananas, drink orange juice, to add potassium to your diet naturally.

Yes if you eat a lot of bananas and tomatoes you will not get them also eat cooked cabbage too. these give you potassium which is what keeps you from getting cramps in your muscles. after you do this for a week you may e-mail me and thank me for telling you this very valuable secret. I'm at yahoo.com

When your leg cramps, your toes will curl down the quick releife is to make sure you straighten your toes.
Tonic water, available at most grocery stores, qontains a bit of quinine. Quinine and sports drinks help to prevent leg cramps. (Quinine hasa very bitter after taste and may take some getting used to).

If it is in the calf, try to straighten the leg while pointing the toes up toward your head. If you get up and stand, you are doing the same thing, except if you are still lying in bed you can lift your toes toward your head.

<a href=""></a>

If it's in your calf it is best to stand up. Most of the time these are caused by a lack of a vitamin . I don't remember which one - A maybe?

<a href=""></a>

If you get them in the calves of your legs, you can try gently, slowly flexing the foot of that leg (so that your foot is perpendicular to your leg, like it is when you're standing). Works for me. It stretches the muscle that's cramping.

Strech your leg or whatever out, and then rub and massage the part of body that hurts. Try flexing it.
